The Annual PYAG picnic will be held at the Upper Picnic Shelter on August 15th, 2007 at the Keuka Lake State Park. For those who wish to paint or enjoy the facilities, we will have use of the upper level pavillion, from 9am until 9pm. Regular entrance fees will be applicable during the day until 6pm (entrance fees are waived for seniors 60 years and older). No entrance fee will be required after 6 and the picnic will begin by 6:30pm, with sharing of peer art as well.
Visitors and new Art Guild members are always welcome
. Just show up at a meeting, or if joining, bring three pieces
of your work to a meeting and send dues to Sally Thomas, 3598
Sid White Road, Keuka Park, NY 14478.
Yearly dues are: active member $15 (onetime initiation fee $ 3)
associate member $10.
The Penn Yan Art Guild is a regional association
of active artists who share programs, critiques, and exhibit opportunities
which may improve their work.
They also give Yates County high school students annual art awards
to encourage young talent. Anyone interested in pursuing or encouraging
art is welcome.
Unless specified, normal PYAG meetings will take place at
Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Penn Yan, on Hamilton Street,
near the intersection of Clinton Street at 7:30pm, and on August
16th, we will have our annual picnic at the Keuka Lake State Park
A business meeting usually takes 15 minutes, and the programs
usually run for a little over an hour.
For details, contact Lyle Conrad, 607-868-4673.
Guild meetings are held on the third Wednesday
of the month. No meeting is held in December, February, or July.
We don't know why...it's just that way.
Meetings begin at 7:30, but people arriving at 7:00
may bring work-in-progress for discussion, or spend some time
socializing (I quess we should call it "networking").
At 7:30 a business meeting usually lasts 15 minutes and programs
end by 9:30pm. If a member or guest would like to carpool, please
phone a guild officer. Aspiring artists in any media are invited.
