Photo Club Meetings
On Wednesday, October 18th, The Yates County Photography Club will meet at 1.30 P.M., at the Overlook on route 54A below Esperanza. The Overlook is a parking area approximately seven miles southwest of the four corners of Penn Yan (Rt. 14A, and 54 or 54A), on the left side of the road if you are driving southwest toward Branchport. This is our Annual Fall Color Photo Tour starting from the Overlook and heading south along the west side of Keuka Lake, ending in the Bully Hill area. Bring your cameras and lots of film. Guests are welcome. This will be our regular October meeting.
For our Thursday meeting on November 16th at the YCAC Gallery, we'll review and critique our fall photos, including those taken during our "Fall Color Tours" - same time 7:30pm. Reflections and other water related scenes can be found throughout this area.
Our December 21st meeting will be will be a regular
meeting at the YCAC Gallery at 7:30pm with some refreshments.
Other meetings will take place at 7:30pm, the third Thursday
of each month at the YCAC Gallery, 119 E Elm Street in Penn Yan.
Bring recent photos (digital or conventional) for critiques and
questions for discussions.

This pic taken Johnson Creek area near Ontario shoreline, two roads intersect to form a triangle where there are three large trees in the center. This is only one, would need a wide angle lens to get all three in. there are literally hundreds of shoes in these trees, from old worn workboots to pink sneakers. There is nothing around this area but farmland and empty fields, I would love to know if there is a story behind this. This fall I will go back with my 35mm and a wide angle lens and knock on a few doors to find out if there is a story |
